If there were fifty shades of darkness in the comics, it would be the next level of darkness. French art director and comic book artist Mesut Kaya have been shaking the online world with some very dark jokes, and 10k Instagram followers can’t get enough of it. The four-pane Dassault comics don’t need dialogue to give an unexpected darker tone at the end, which will likely make you feel a little uncomfortable with laughter. The artist describes his style as “rude” and says that the hardest part is coming up with the right stupid joke and changing it in a less stupid way. As a result, we end up with witty comics that seem normal in the first two panels and quickly transition into absurd, weird, and somewhat creepy places. I started drawing comics when I was a kid. But then I left it a little aside because my work took a long time. Then, after a few years of work, I got a little bored with my work, so at lunchtime, I started drawing little comics that I started posting to Instagram and got good reviews, so I am continuing! said the artist. Drawing comics still doesn’t pay off, which is why Lasko is a freelance art director for advertising. I’ve learned a lot from advertising, like how to tell a story very quickly or how to change an idea to make it more unexpected. I am also working on a film project that I have, this is my next goal!
