Artist Uses Neural Networks To Generate Realistic Faces Of People From 7 Famous Paintings

Over the past 20 years, technology has evolved greatly; every day people come up with something new. This digital artist decided to use a neural network to recreate the faces of people from famous paintings such as Mona Lisa and The Birth of Venus.

The artist’s name is Denis Shiryaev, and he seems to be keen on recreating old photographs and paintings and watching what they will look like now. Although they are not accurate from a historical point of view, they are still very interesting to see!

Denis Shiryaev uses facial expressions of other people from YouTube, TikTok and neural networks to make the recreation as realistic as possible. The Cambridge Dictionary describes a neural network as a computer system or type of computer program designed to copy the way the human brain works.
